As an Edward Jones financial advisor, you’ll develop and grow your own practice with support from your branch team, a home-office team, and other regional financial advisors. Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships to create new clients via face-to-face and virtual sourcing strategies (residential, business, networking, introductions and referrals, social media, and speaking engagements).
  • Deeply understand clients’ needs and priorities to accelerate trust and create personalized strategies.
  • Oversee branch processes, roles, and responsibilities to ensure a high-quality client experience compliant with firm policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
  • Engage the branch team to create, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan to increase effectiveness and achieve results.
  • Foster a highly engaging branch environment based on mutual trust, respect, feedback and accountability.

Skills/Requirements

Candidates should have at least one of the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience in securities/financial services
  • Financial services and/or sales experience
  • Financial services registration, licensing, or certification
  • Professional and/or military career progression

Licensing
:

  • SIE (can be obtained without firm sponsorship);
    Series 7 and Series 66 will be required; if not currently registered, registrations may be obtained during the paid study period
  • FINRA registrations required within three months; state insurance licenses will be required
  • As an associate, ongoing training and required CE training to keep licenses in good standing

Compensation
: A new compensation program supports trainee pay, a supplemental salary for up to five years, commissions, and compensation for new assets gathered in the first five years. Supplemental starting salary range: $45,000–$100,000.
