Business Banking Closing Specialist Sr

Overview

The Business Banking Closing Specialist Sr. works with Relationship Managers, Borrowers, Sellers, Attorneys, Brokers, EROs, Underwriters, Closers, Title Companies and the banking Markets to collect due diligence and promote the loan closing process.

• Coordinates interaction between these parties within the defined loan closing SLA of 30-45 days.
• Assists other colleagues with difficult situations or customers.
• Prepares the more difficult loan commitment letters and application documents.
• Responsible for initial Compliance and preparing the loan commitment package.
• Reviews other Client Specialists’ commitment letters for accuracy.
• Orders third party reports and provides them to the correct parties for review.
• Subject matter expert in the lending process.
• Engages with customers daily to discuss, explain and mentor prospective borrowers through the nuances of lending.
• Coordinates with all parties to establish the closing date.
• Schedules closing and arranges the distribution of documents.
• Mentors less experienced Loan Specialists.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• 3+ years of related experience
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent

• Bachelor's Degree
• Strong detail orientation and organizational skills
• Understanding of industry, lending regulations

Exempt Status:
Yes = not eligible for overtime pay;
