Financial Technical Writer (Accounting/Tax Specialist) Freelance Project-Based Remote
We are seeking a qualified accountant or tax professional with exceptional English writing and research skills to support the development of a new information hub on the Clients website, focused on Establishing an Irish Presence. This role is ideal for someone who can translate complex Irish accounting and tax concepts into clear, accurate, and accessible content for international companies looking to set up operations in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities- Research, write, and update high-quality technical content on:
- Irish company formation and Revenue registration
- VAT, PAYE, and other tax obligations
- Substance and presence requirements for Irish entities
- Compliance, statutory obligations, and ongoing filing requirements
- Practical steps for establishing an Irish operational base
- Ensure content is technically accurate, well-structured, and aligned with Irish/EU accounting and tax standards.
- Interpret legislation, Revenue guidance, and regulatory frameworks into readable, actionable guidance for non-experts.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop a comprehensive and trustworthy resource hub.
- Maintain consistent tone, clarity, and quality across content pieces.
- Strong understanding of (or ability to research and interpret):
- Irish tax legislation
- EU tax frameworks
- Revenue registration processes
- Corporate compliance and reporting standards
- Proven experience in technical writing
, content creation, or producing client-facing reports. - Excellent English writing
, editing, and communication skills. - Ability to convey complex information in a concise, structured, and reader-friendly manner.
- Strong research and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines for project-based assignments.
- Experience advising international companies on Irish tax/corporate matters.
- Familiarity with global expansion, EOR, payroll, or cross-border compliance topics.
- Prior experience developing educational or reference content.
- Freelance / Project-Based Contract
- Ongoing content development expected as the information hub expands.
- Flexible, remote working arrangement.
