Overview
Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is actively seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join their finance team in Phoenix, AZ. This role is a unique opportunity to play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting daily accounting operations within a hospitality-driven organization. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and eager to grow in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Ensure all financial data is accurate and up to date.
- Manage daily banking activity and oversee accounts payable.
- Process daily revenue and prepare related reports.
- Monitor and reconcile credit card transactions.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and supporting documentation.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
- Complete and file sales tax returns.
- Interact daily with clients, delivering exceptional service.
- Support office communication and smooth team operations.
- Uphold and communicate Blue Star's core values in all interactions.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the Finance team.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- JD Edwards experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, continuously improving environment.
Monday to Friday, first shift.
Additional DetailsAfter training, this position will transition to a hybrid schedule with 2 days working from home per week.
