* * to appoint a seasoned
** Controller
* * to their finance leadership team. This role can be based in Boca Raton 3 days p/w on-site, or potentially, for the perfect candidate, we can consider more remote working patterns.

This is a critical hire for a professional who thrives in the technical complexities of the
** Property & Casualty (P&C)
** space. You will own the end-to-end financial reporting process and serve as the primary point of contact for external regulatory bodies.
** The Role
** As Controller, you will oversee all general accounting functions and financial reporting for the group’s insurance and reinsurance entities. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will ensure the integrity of the month-end, quarter-end, and annual close processes.

* Key Responsibilities:

* ** Regulatory Filings:
** Lead the preparation and submission of all required filings with the
** NAIC
* * and state agencies, including
** Yellow Book
** and statutory reporting.
* ** Compliance & Controls:
** Design and maintain internal controls and policies that remain compliant with both
** US GAAP
** and Statutory requirements.
* ** External Relations:
** Manage high-level interactions with
** AM Best**, the NAIC, and state agencies (e.g., FL DOR).
* ** Team Leadership:
** Build, mentor, and develop a dedicated team of accountants.
** What We’re Looking For
** We are specifically seeking an experienced
** P&C Insurance Controller
** who brings a sophisticated understanding of the industry’s unique regulatory landscape.
* ** Certification:
** An active
** CPA license
** is required.

* Experience:

** 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with a heavy emphasis on the insurance sector.
* ** Technical Expertise:
** Proven experience with
** Yellow Book filings**, statutory reporting, and managing AM Best
