Annuity Actuarial Analytics - Actuarial Analyst III

The Actuarial Analyst III role is an advanced position for actuarial professionals who have demonstrated significant experience, technical expertise, and continued progress toward actuarial credentials. Analysts at this level perform and communicate highly complex actuarial analyses, including pricing, reserving, financial forecasting, and advanced modeling, while also contributing to strategic initiatives.

• Applies fundamental actuarial principles in analyzing company and industry data to prepare actuarial analyses in accordance with the “SOA code of Professional Conduct” and the Actuarial Standards of Practice.
• Prepares summaries of actuarial analyses for distribution to Home Office and Field management, other American National departments, consultants, reinsurers, and regulators.
• Completes processes to perform and document actuarial analyses promptly and accurately.
• Begins to assist less experienced analysts with spreadsheets, databases, and sources of data used in actuarial analyses.
• Prepares for and progresses in the SOA examinations through on-the-job and home study.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• One to two years of experience.
• Completion of 3 or more actuarial exams.
