Senior Fund Accountant

Location: Edison, NJ (4 days onsite, 1 day working from home)

Our client, a private equity firm based in Edison, NJ, is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their growing fund accounting team. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys owning the full lifecycle of investment fund operations, working closely with investors, and partnering with senior management.

• Maintain and review the books and records for multiple private equity investment funds
• Prepare and review journal entries and cash reconciliations
• Prepare quarterly financial statements, investor capital account statements, and supporting work papers
• Manage capital calls and distributions, including preparing and distributing investor notices
• Deliver investor communications through an online investor portal
• Own end-to-end accounting processes for assigned funds
• Support the annual audit by preparing schedules and documentation for external auditors
• Compile and analyze financial and operational data for senior management
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of private equity or fund accounting experience (public accounting experience a plus)
• CPA exam passed or actively pursuing preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a team-oriented environment
