Onsite requirements - this role requires 3 days onsite and up to 2 days of remote work per week. The office is located in the Greater Madison, WI area.

Objective:This position bridges the compliance function and the consumer finance/business operations teams. It ensures that day‑to‑day business activities align with applicable laws, internal policies, and regulatory standards. The role combines hands‑on compliance support with close collaboration across business units to embed compliance effectively into operations.
Key Responsibilities Business Support & Compliance Guidance- Respond to routine compliance inquiries from business units and elevate complex matters to senior compliance team members.
- Assist with internal audits, process reviews, or assessments as required.
- Support the review, maintenance, and updating of the compliance program, policies, controls, and procedures to align with evolving regulatory requirements and business needs.
- Perform ongoing monitoring of business processes to verify compliance, track relevant metrics/KPIs, and prepare regular reports for management review.
- Conduct standard compliance checks, including transaction reviews, exception report analysis, quality control reviews, and audit follow‑ups.
- Document monitoring results clearly, maintain tracking logs, and ensure timely follow‑up on identified items.
- Evaluate internal systems, controls, and processes for adherence to compliance standards.
- Generate reports, extract data, and conduct basic analysis (e.g., identifying anomalies, monitoring trends, and summarizing key findings).
- Identify emerging patterns or repeat issues and elevate them to the Compliance Business Partner or Compliance Manager.
- Monitor regulatory changes, evaluate their potential impact on business operations, and collaborate with relevant teams to implement necessary updates to policies, controls, or processes.
- Contribute to the revision of compliance policies, procedures, job aids, and training resources.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date compliance records, including regulatory obligation trackers, control inventories, and evidence of completed reviews or assessments.
- Assist in rolling out new regulatory requirements by coordinating with business units and documenting implementation progress.
- Act as a key point of contact to help integrate compliance considerations into business decision‑making and daily processes, translating regulatory requirements into practical, actionable guidance for the business.
- Support the development of compliance training materials, presentations, and internal communications to promote a strong compliance culture.
- Share policy updates and reminders in a clear, user‑friendly manner.
- Offer basic compliance advice to frontline staff under the guidance of senior team members.
- Adhere to all relevant legal and compliance standards outlined in company policies, take responsibility for completing assigned compliance‑related tasks, and promptly report any identified violations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four‑year college or university.
- Experience: 1–3 years in a related role (e.g., compliance, audit, risk management, operations, or customer service).
- Skills and Knowledge:
- 1–3 years of experience in compliance, audit, risk, operations, customer service, or a similar function within financial services (banking, lending, payments, insurance, or fintech preferred).
- Basic knowledge of consumer finance regulations or a strong eagerness to develop this expertise.
- Proficiency with common tools and technology, including dashboards, ticketing systems, workflow tools, spreadsheets, and documentation platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and solid organizational abilities.
- Consistent ability to follow established processes while proactively seeking clarification when needed.
- Curiosity, sense of accountability, and motivation to advance into more senior compliance roles.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required.
