This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a General Ledger Accountant - REMOTE. In this analytical role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing timely financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. Your contributions will support the integrity of financial practices according to US GAAP while providing essential accounting support.
You will play a critical role in the month-end close process, collaborating with teams to deliver precise financial insights and reports. This is an opportunity to impact financial operations directly and contribute to the company's overall success from anywhere.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of accounts to support the monthly general ledger close process.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow, investigating discrepancies as needed.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Maintain fixed asset records and assist with depreciation calculations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and understanding of financial data.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field or equivalent.
- 3 – 7+ years of public accounting experience.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a high level of initiative in a dynamic environment.
- Analytical mindset with process improvement skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and remain composed under pressure.

- Experience with any ERP and Financial Reporting software (preferred).
