Business Loan Closing Team Lead

Summary:

The Business Loan Closing Team Lead position is demanding and fast paced requiring the colleague to be highly efficient in their time management, able to prioritize daily demands, communicate in an effective manner, and detailed oriented. This role assists upper management with a variety of tasks and responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serves as a loan closing subject matter expert to assist junior team members with questions and issues across all loan closing teams
• Trains and mentors new hires to the team; helps review and update new hire training material and acts as the primary reviewer of completed deals during the training period
• Trains and helps current colleagues needing additional refresher training
• Attends job interviews (with managers) prospective loan closing colleagues
• Performs other tasks as needed to support the line of business and job family
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 3-5 years of minimum experience in loan closing/appraisal operations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Paralegal Certificate / Associate Degree in Finance or Business
• Experience with SBA lending

Exempt Status: Yes = not eligible for overtime pay;
No = eligible for overtime pay
