As an Accounting Analyst III, you will play a crucial role in providing expertise and mentorship in compiling, analyzing and interpreting financial information for leadership decision-making. This role ensures compliance with requirements and regulations and is a resource for both internal and external customers. Your responsibilities will also include looking for ways to optimize business processes through technology and automation, improving efficiency and reducing costs.

** Responsibilities/Expectations:
*** Performs assigned month-end activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting and variance analysis
* Prepares, maintains and develops schedules, reports, and analyses for internal/external customers
* Provides requested documentation and clear explanations for audit processes
* Participates in small projects with minimal mentorship and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
* Processes and analyses significant amounts of data, including issues and transactions
* Prepares and reviews FERC Form 3Q and Form 2 filings as well as XBRL tagging

Experience:

* Required:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum four (4) years experience in accounting in the energy industry
* Preferred: CPA## ##

*** Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
* Promotes effective cross-functional communication and collaboration within the team and across departments
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial skills
* Preferred:
Familiarity with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
