First Command Financial Advisors coach military families in their pursuit of financial security. With 165+ offices nationwide, many are located near military installations. 9 out of 10 of our Financial Advisors are veterans or military spouses.

• Serve as the personal coach for military families, focusing on a financial plan that evolves to meet short‑term and long‑term goals.
• Help military families manage day‑to‑day finances, build lifetime assets, and protect against the unexpected.
• Engage with the community to bring new clients to First Command, with support from the local district team and Home Office.
• Partner directly with local military organizations, military units, and other supporting institutions.
• Coach military families on building a comprehensive financial plan that includes:
  • Savings/banking
  • Investments/wealth management
  • Insurance/risk management

• A specialized licensing and comprehensive training program designed for veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses to start and grow a successful Financial Advisor career.
• Full sponsorship of pursuit of full registration and licensing as a Financial Advisor, including preparation and testing for SIE, S6, S63, S65 and state Life & Health licenses.
• Opportunity to join a paid training program with a local district office upon successful completion of licensing phase.
• Compensation structure: initial hourly wage for three months (minimum wage in the state), transitioning to a salaried position with progressive incentives for the remainder of the nine‑month paid training period.

• Potential to become an independent contractor Financial Advisor, controlling career trajectory and earning based on effort, commissions, bonuses, residual income, and deferred compensation.
• No cap on earning potential; first‑year average compensation includes commissions and bonuses.
