The Manager/Closing & Servicing is responsible for overseeing all closing, post-closing and servicing operations for consumer and residential real estate loans. This role ensures loans are closed accurately, funded timely, boarded correctly, and serviced in compliance with regulatory requirements, investor guidelines, and internal policies. This position provides leadership to closing and servicing teams, drives operational efficiency, and ensures an exceptional member experience from loan closing through payoff.
The position collaborates closely with underwriting, processing, and experience teams to ensure seamless end-to-end loan execution.
This position has a starting annual rate of $82,300
, but your offer amount may be increased with relevant work experience and transferable skills.
- Lead, coach, and develop the consumer and real estate closing and loan servicing teams to ensure consistent performance, accountability, and foster a culture of accuracy and delivering an exceptional member experience.
- Manage staffing, workload distribution, and workflow prioritization to meet service level expectations and operational demands.
- Lead and oversee consumer and residential closing teams responsible for preparing accurate closing documents, coordinating loan closings, and ensuring timely funding, while complying with regulatory requirements, investor guidelines, and internal policies.
- Oversee loan servicing functions for consumer and residential portfolios, including payment processing and escrow administration, ensuring accurate and timely payment of taxes and insurance.
- Ensure specialized mortgage servicing issues are managed appropriately including escrow management, annual escrow analysis and disclosure, private mortgage insurance removal, subordinations, and modifications.
- Perform other duties as directed by leadership.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4-6 years of experience in operational lending functions, including but not limited to loan processing, closing, servicing, and/or underwriting.
- 2-4 years of leadership experience.
- Demonstrated high degree of creative decision-making and latitude.
- Strong knowledge of industry-standard closing and servicing procedures.
- Advanced understating of standard concepts, practices and procedures within the Lending field.
- Proven ability to produce a high volume of work in a timely manner that is accurate, complete, and of high quality.
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
- College degree.
- Proficiency using Symitar, Meridian Link and Encompass.
