Finance Manager

We offer a flexible working model, allowing you to work from home/remotely and from the office.

Reporting to the Group Head of Accounting and Procurement in our Italian office, the Finance Manager will support with Italy, France and Switzerland accounting and have responsibility for the finance function of the Italian entity.

• Management of three/four direct reports
• Coordinate the month end closing processes (journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation)
• Monthly/Quarterly Balance sheet reconciliations - accrued and deferred income, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, payroll, intercompany
• Review of bookkeeping including sales ledger, purchase ledger
• Coordination of the external audit process
• Payroll: management of monthly payroll bookkeeping and internal controls; serve as primary point of contact with external payroll provider and internal HR team
• Planning and preparation of the vendor payment runs, review and authorisation of payments
• Working alongside FP&A team on monthly reporting of actual vs forecast, revenue reconciliations
• Oversight of France and Switzerland branches, including payroll, audit, payment approvals; served as primary liaison with external payroll provider
• Ad hoc Excel modelling and spreadsheet design as required

• 5+ years in similar role (or Big4 experience)
• Italian GAAP and IFRS knowledge
• Excellent Excel skills - confidently uses SUMIFS, SUMIF, COUNTIF, lookups, pivot tables, and can manipulate large quantities of data and summarise
• Previous experience in multi-currency environment / large groups
• Knowledge of Netsuite (current ERP) desirable but not essential
• Previous experience within technology/media sector desirable but not essential
• Experience of year end audit and liaison with auditors
• Thrives in a global, multi-cultural corporate environment
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Team player - confident in supporting staff members
• Effective communicator - the role will require interaction with a number of project managers and key stakeholders in addition to finance reporting lines (in Italy and abroad)
