Our client is a global investment firm. They seek a Fund Accountant to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities- Oversee coordination with the third-party sub-administrator and review accounting deliverables for accuracy and compliance
- Interface with the administrator, custodian, transfer agent, and other external vendors
- Maintain shadow books and reconcile them to the sub-administrator’s reporting package
- Compute and review management and incentive fees
- Monitor fund expenses for accuracy and manage accruals and payments
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables for HPS and the BDC’s Board of Directors
- Draft 10-Q and 10-K SEC filings and management reports
- Participate in Accounting Policy discussions, communicating impacts on business, financial results, and reporting requirements
- Drive process improvement initiatives and support technology projects
- Facilitate external audits and execute ad hoc reporting and special projects
- 2-8 years of experience
- Private equity industry experience required
- Public/combo experience
- Detail-oriented and analytical
- Excellent communication skills
