Remote Financial Controller

Job Title: Financial Controller – North America

Location: NJ/NY preferred with remote flexibility

Salary: up to $175,000 base + annual bonus

My client is seeking a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Financial Controller to take full responsibility for finance and accounting functions across North American operations. Reporting to the Global Head of Finance, you will manage key accounting processes, including monthly close, financial controls, and reconciliation. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional with 10‑15 years of experience who is looking for the next step in their career.

• Lead the accounting cycle for North America, including month‑end close, accruals, and financial reconciliations.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Audit functions.
• Manage CPA tax filings and oversee tax strategy for the region.
• Prepare and present budget forecasts and financial commentary.
• Ensure compliance across multiple entities and locations.
• Collaborate with global teams and business managers to align financial processes.
• Over time, manage a small finance team and contribute to the growth of the finance function.

• 10‑15 years of accounting/finance experience, ideally in a controller or senior accounting role.
• CPA preferred, but not essential.
• Experience managing full accounting functions, including tax filings and financial reporting.
• Exposure to ERP systems and experience with multiple accounting systems highly desirable.
• Experience with M&A accounting and integration is a plus.
• Ability to work hands‑on and provide strategic financial insight.
• Previous experience with startups or fast‑growing organizations is beneficial.
