We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic individual to join our established team. Reporting to our Service Charge Accountant, our Assistant Finance Business Partner will support effective financial management by delivering accurate budgets, forecasts, management accounts, statutory accounts, and maintaining financial systems and controls in line with legislation and internal policies. It also ensures service charges are compliant and accurate while working collaboratively with finance partners and budget holders to provide timely insights, highlight risks and opportunities, and drive value for money.
In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.
What do our Assistant Finance Business Partner's do;- Support the annual budget process by maintaining high-quality financial information, challenging budget holders, and ensuring accurate submission and maintenance of budget data and templates.
- Deliver accurate and timely management accounts, analysis, and programme reporting, clearly explaining variances, risks, and opportunities to aid informed decision-making.
- Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support statutory accounts, audit requirements, and ongoing maintenance of financial systems including budgets and forecasts.
- Provide value-adding finance business partnering, creating tailored reports, offering insightful analysis, and driving effective forecasting and strong risk management across the business.
- Ensure robust financial controls, accurate transaction recording, high data quality, regulatory compliance, and effective internal processes, contributing to audits, data returns, and operational planning.
- Part-qualified Accountant or qualified AAT or equivalent through relevant training / experience
- Experience of working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to analyse complex data to produce reports and deliver information to a range of audiences
- Experience of providing appropriate financial information
- Strong IT skills including use of Excel, knowledge and use of finance and housing management systems
