Service Charge Officer

Gravitas Group are partnered with a leading UK Housing Association. They’re looking to grow their Service Charge team and hire a Leasehold Officer.

As a Leasehold Officer, you’ll take ownership of the entire Section 20 consultation process, from issuing notices and logging follow-ups to responding to observations within legislative time frames. You’ll assist in all consultations and ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant.

• Assist in the Section 20 consultation processes compliance, and service charge administration
• A detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a commitment to accuracy
• Issuing invoices for works carried out under Section 20 within the required 18-month timeframe.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with the wider Service Charge team.
• Check compliance with legal agreements, leases, and management agreements.
• Challenge unreasonable charges and ensure that services being charged for are provided.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Neighbourhoods, Finance, and Legal teams to support service charge activities.

• Experience in working in a Leasehold / Service Charge environment.

• Excel skills, V-look up & Pivot tables
