Chief Financial Officer

Citadel Source are proud to be partnering on an exclusive basis to recruit a new Chief Financial Officer role for an investor backed, medium sized, South West services business with multiple office locations. The role is predominantly home based, with a small team and will work alongside other senior leaders to continue to drive value, interrogate profitability and ensure robust financial controls.

The client is technology-enabled, focused, innovative and pride themselves on quality interactions and smooth delivery to their customer base. About you The successful candidate will be commercially sharp, with experience operating within an investor-backed business, able to be able to shift between internal financial focus and external investor focus seamlessly.

The candidate will enjoy working alongside their internal peers but also be able to successfully manage the team (based predominantly remote) to ensure strong, timely accounting. The role This role is a hugely important position for the organisation, managing key external partners and banking relationships, whilst also bringing value internally, working alongside the CEO and wider C-suite. This role will play a key part in the leadership of the finance team and the wider business, ensuring rigour in monthly, periodic and yearly accounts, an ever-improving controls environment and a focus on higher quality Management Information to inform decision making.

As the Chief Financial Officer, your role will include, but not be limited to:
Acting as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, providing financial insights that drive informed decision-making Presentation of financial reports and strategic analyses at quarterly board meetings. Supporting all business projects related to financial analysis, market expansion, pricing strategies, and other key initiatives Helping to develop and execute a growth and investment strategy to maximise the company's value over the next five years Developing financial models to support the business's position and future value Identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement to ensure robust financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency Implementation of recommended improvements to strengthen financial oversight and scalability Design and implementation of a financial strategy supporting short-term and long-term company objectives Refining existing budgeting and forecasting models that align with the company’s growth goals, ensuring sustainable financial health Analysis of current financial performance, with ongoing recommendations for optimising profitability and growth Oversight of cash flow management, ensuring a strong cash position is maintained to support operational needs and strategic initiatives Evaluation of return on investment (ROI) for technology-focused investments and prioritising spend that aligns with growth objectives Management of a small team of qualified and non-qualified accountants What the client has to offer £100,000 - £110,000 base salary depending on experience Bonus (business and individual performance weighting) Matched Pension Flexible working with a predominantly home based working policy, with some ad hoc face to face activity For more information on this exciting opportunity, please apply or reach out to Oliver Price at Citadel Source .
