This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Revenue Accounting Manager - REMOTE. This role is critical in ensuring compliant and accurate revenue recognition in line with GAAP standards. You will oversee technical accounting judgments and be instrumental in month-end close processes related to revenue. Working closely with cross-functional teams such as Revenue Operations and Finance, this position not only demands technical expertise but also strong leadership and mentoring capabilities to guide a team of 3–5 direct reports.
Your contribution will drive improvements in accounting processes and reporting.
- Own and oversee revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close activities.
- Provide oversight and guidance to the Revenue Operations Lead.
- Establish and interpret revenue accounting policies and internal controls.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits.
- Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, and Billing on revenue-impacting initiatives.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements.
- Support revenue-related financial reporting and management requests.
- Strong technical expertise in revenue recognition (ASC 606).
- Ability to translate complex accounting guidance into practical processes.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring teams.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience in partnering with auditors and finance leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in revenue or technical accounting roles.
- Prior People Leader experience is required.
- Strong ERP experience, with Workday preferred; CRM experience, with Salesforce preferred.
