Career Opportunity Role Title Accounting Summer COOP Purpose of role Foresters Financial is looking to hire talented post-secondary student to join our Financial Management Office. This is a great opportunity for students to learn and gain valuable exposure within financial services and accounting.
Key responsibilities/accountabilities- Data entry into accounts payable system for cheque and EFT payments
- Reviewing and processing expense reports in Workday
- Sorting and distributing daily cheques
- Running reports for daily cheque distribution
- Light filing
- Box packing of storage room
- Completed a minimum of one (1) year post-secondary education and will be returning to school in the fall.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Organized and self‑motivated learner
- Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
- This role requires the successful candidate to be onsite at 789 Don Mills Road Monday - Thursday, with the ability to work from home on Friday.
Salary Range:
$18.00-$23.00 per hour
The actual base salary for this position will depend on several factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and education. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may participate in a discretionary variable incentive plan, results are subject to both individual and company performance.
