Commercial Management Accountant

My exclusive client, based in Newcastle-u-Lyme in Staffordshire, is a profitable and fast growing market leading B2B Industrial Services group with depots across the UK and with t/o now exceeding £100m.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially-focused qualified accountant to have full financial and operational involvement across the group with strong prospects for career progression in line with the ongoing growth and development.

You will have proactive daily direct contact with key Business Managers/Directors at the Newcastle-u-Lyme Central Business hub - however, this modern business culture also supports flexible hybrid working from home up to 1-2 days per week.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, key responsibilities will include:

• Overseethe preparation of timely and robust monthly management accounts and annual financial Group reports.
• Create new models and KPI'sfor analysing business performance using Excel, Power BI, ERP and FP&A tools.
• Support commercial decision-making including pricing, margin analysis, customer profitability and cost optimisation.
• Support the annual budget process and quarterly forecasting.
• Conduct analysis for proposed new business projects and investment initiatives.
• Maintain the Group Capex position, including optimal Stock level efficiencies.

Candidate profile:

• High calibre CIMA/ACCAqualified accountant; exceptional Finalist level candidates will also be considered.
• Strong Management Accounts plus "added value" MI/Business Analysis experience in a similar fast-paced profit centre environment.
• Confident with strong communication skills, able to liaise effectively at all levelsincludingdaily contact with a range of Business and local Depot Managers plussenior stakeholders across the business.
• Strong IT/Excel/BI skills.
• Well developed analytical skills and business initiative.
• Energetic approach, keen and ambitious to "raise the bar" to support the successful business growth strategy.
