The
Risk Analyst will work on complex portfolios which include margin and options requirements (complex strategies) of clients via active monitoring, including changes in credit profile and risk credit limits. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that all risk management processes are in place and adhered to, supporting the overall stability and integrity of our services/portfolios.

• Establish appropriate internal risk ratings and credit limits for clients and implement accurate adjustments due to changes in credit outlook as well as the firm's desired exposure levels
• Assess the creditworthiness, including due diligence of borrowers and/or trading counter parties and authoring credit analysis
• Assess and structure complex transactions and work on credit documentation to mitigate risk appropriately
• Coordinate closely with the Risk, Operation, Stock Loan, and Treasury departments to provide high quality and timely credit decisions while observing compliance with established credit policies and guidelines
• Complete the daily assessment of portfolio risk across a substantial client base and across a wide range of asset classes
• Develop risk offerings/platforms and other risk initiatives
• Provision risk management solutions to clients in relation to margin financing and leveraged trading
• Assist with the development of internal and external reporting with a focus on the client and relevant risk information
• Address client specific queries on a daily basis
• Participate in other general firm risk assessments as needed inclusive of operational risk assessments

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience required
• 2+ years of experience in risk analysis, preferably within the financial services industry or at a correspondent clearing/broker-dealer firm
• FINRA Series 7 License required (or willingness to obtain)

• Knowledge of quantitative analytics and statistical modeling
• Understanding of value at risk and computational methods
• Understanding of gamma in relationship to price movements of an option
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
• Proficiency in SQL to analyze and manage large datasets, preferred
• Knowledge of R or Python, preferred
• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence

• This job operates in a hybrid, office environment 3 days per week.

$64,000-$80,000

The annual base salary range for this position is noted above. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location.
