We are seeking a candidate with a passion for portfolio management. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape our investment strategies and launch your own investing philosophy.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have a keen desire to learn the operations of a successful discretionary fund management business.
Trading & Portfolio ManagementManage the end-to-end process for full disinvestment transfers, ensuring all necessary trade authorisations are obtained before execution.
Calculate pro-rata amounts required for regular income payments and SIPP fees, executing sales accordingly to maintain the portfolio mandate.
Utilise management software functions to perform fund switches and ensure portfolios remain aligned with the target strategy.
Conduct modelling to identify and reduce deviations from the investment mandate.
Investment Analysis and ReportingUtilise investment skills to conduct research into funds, ETFs, and direct stocks to support decision-making.
Produce performance documentation and conduct in-depth analysis to attribute performance to individual securities.
Utilise FE Analytics monthly by mirroring Asset Allocation (AA) data to ensure performance tracking is accurate.
Produce the DP Score report by incorporating current Asset Allocation data into the scoring document.
Investment Administration and MarketingLead the production, accuracy checking, and distribution of monthly MPS factsheets and brochures.
Draft and circulate investment commentary to stakeholders.
Collaborate with senior staff to prepare governance packs.
Address client queries professionally and promptly.
Assist with the collection and preparation of data required for ad-hoc FCA submissions.
Experience and SkillsMinimum 2 years of experience in the financial industry.
Proficiency with financial software packages, specifically FE Analytics.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for drafting investment commentary.
A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently using their own initiative.
QualificationsPart or fully qualified with CISI Level 4 professional investment qualifications (minimum). Following exams applicable :
- CISI / CII - Certificate in Discretionary Investment Management
- CII - CF1 - UK financial services, regulation and ethics
- CII - RO1 Paper - Regulation and Ethics
- CFA Institute - Investment Management Certificate
Willingness to work towards further Investment Management qualifications to become a registered professional.
Central London (near Fernchurch St station) office-based role with some structured hybrid working from home hours.
