The Chargeback Representative resolves disputed credit card transactions, customer service issues as they relate to rentals for Alamo, National and Enterprise across North America and Europe. This position provides issuing banks and customers with thorough explanations on rental charges/discrepancies and will upload documentation through Visa/Master Card, American Express and Discover Card dispute websites. In addition, the Chargeback representative seeks to obtain chargeback reversals and return revenue to the business.
This position also maintains regular contact with bankcard personnel, operating group and branch personnel.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8‑hour shift between 7:00 am–6:00 pm.

- Resolve customer credit card disputes within credit card industry time frames, and maintain internal reversal rate goals exceeding 800K annually.
- Review reservations, rental and credit card authorizations and charges in rental and settlement systems to determine validity of rental charges.
- Maintain daily contact with branch/station managers and operating groups for issues involving discrepancies regarding rate adjustments and inquiries on chargeback bad debt.
- Maintain PCI and PII compliance with all documentation and communication, including customer credit card information and PCI compliant in all systems.
- Contact merchant banks via each card type website to prevent chargebacks from occurring or to obtain reversal of charged back already received.
- Upload documentation, rental agreements and explanation of charges to bankcard and internal accounting websites.
- Submit requests for accounting adjustments with clear and concise explanations and assess accounting codes to explain life of a chargeback.
- Stay abreast of all Visa/Master Card, American Express and Discover credit card acceptance guidelines as well as industry chargeback rules and regulations.
- Analyze complex rentals including incremental authorizations, insurance replacement, damage claims, citations, etc.

Qualifications- 2 years of customer service experience or accounting experience required.
- 2 years of PCI compliance/credit card handling preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Excel required.
- Must be able to work Monday‑Friday 40 hours/week.
- Must be willing to accept starting pay of $18.03/hour.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship at this time.
