M1 is looking for a Payroll Specialist who will assist with implementing the company payroll process, including guidance and direction related to contractual and business responsibilities company-wide in accordance with the PWS, FAR, and company policies and industry standards.
Responsibilities- Prep er and process payroll in an accurate, compliant, and timely manner. Create and load aon payroll data batches in Prime. Process pay adjustments such as shift differentials, timecard corrections, and employee receivables.
- Process special transactions (e.g., retroactive pay, mid‑period increases
Faʻ, and bonuses). Process union dues payments. Process short‑term disability payments/reconciliations. - Add stipends (per CBA)Ү to new hires, rehires, and transfers as needed. Process accrual adjustments for employee transfers. Add earn codes to employees' profiles as needed. Process military LES's. Perform timecard reviews. Create timecard weeks in Prime.
- Apply knowledge of business, payroll, and company policies toward company business/financial operations.
- Process pension reports and payments, LOA accruals, adjustments, and perform timecard reviews.
- Process Tr北京 payments/reconciliations.
- Respond to and assist with internal/external audits including 401K, pension, DCAA, workers' comp, and other government agency requests. Perform General Ledger reconciliations.
- Perform and report on testing payroll processes to verify payroll, timecards, and vacation & sick balances. Answer and provide labor reports when assisting with individual employee payroll problems.
- Utilize the Humanic (HD) system for payroll reporting and processing of SUI taxes, labor, general ledger, and benefits.
- Process benefit, FBC, and H&W adjustments due to changes or LOA missed payments.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease cycle time, and streamline workflow processes.
- Develop and sustain a culture of safety, quality compliance, and professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with directives, work standards, and company policies relating to financial/business operations.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Five years of business management/payroll experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field desired; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Knowledge of Department of Defense and business operations and policies and individual CBAs as they relate to a DoD contract service provider is required.
- Must possess strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be proficient in MS Office.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Must be reliable, self‑motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non‑confrontational attitude.
- Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to work extended hours or weekends to meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
