Balance Sheet Accounting Manager

Fixed term, 9 months. Based in our Bristol office for a minimum of three days per week with the flexibility to work from home. Join Digital & Data Finance to help deliver quality balance sheet reconciliation for the entire group.

Computershare has recently migrated to Oracle Fusion ERP and in 2026 we will be moving balance sheet reconciliations to the Fusion ARCS platform (Oracle). This role will drive the final stages of standardisation, quality control and optimisation of our balance sheet reconciliation process across the Group and evidence presentation.

In this role you will support the Group and Regional Financial Controller, and the Interim Balance Sheet Accounting Manager, by performing quality checks on global balance sheet reconciliations performed and reviewed by the relevant teams. You will identify instances where the balance sheet governance framework is not fully followed and help the accounting teams enhance their processes and controls, ensuring migration of high‑quality reconciliations to the ARCS platform.

Collaborating with Financial Control, Transactional Accounting, Tax and FP&A, you will review high‑risk / material balances and enhance evidence preparation under IFRS, advising on balance clean‑ups and releases. You will also support reconciliations globally, working with colleagues in North America, Australia and Europe.

• Obtain feedback from the Interim Balance Sheet Accounting Manager, FC, and TA regarding the status of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support the prioritisation plan for balance sheet reconciliations based on legal entity, account and balance, and present improvement initiatives to the Group Financial Controller.
• Lead the investigation of any unknown balances through to evidence and accounting resolution.
• Monitor the quality and timeliness of balance sheet work and provide feedback to colleagues and the senior management team as part of ongoing quality improvement.
• Act as point of contact & escalation, resolving conflicts and issues raised by finance and non‑finance teams.
• Manage risks & issues and ensure they are resolved or escalated on a timely basis.
• Drive continuous improvement opportunities.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders regularly to discuss operational issues, key metrics and performance KPI.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS financial reporting requirements for a global company.
• Experience managing and resolving financial and compliance issues.
• Understanding of emerging finance and technology trends.
• Excellent communicator, able to engage all layers of the organisation.
• Competent negotiator and relationship manager.
• Experience with complex ERP (Oracle, SAP, Workday, or other).
• Several years as a Finance Manager in a global accounting function.
• Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
