Senior Finance Manager - FTC:
Ageas are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join the team on a 12-month FTC. This is a varied role that will see you owning the creation of the monthly balance sheet pack, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and monitoring progress of associated actions. Along with being the lead contact for external audit and facilitation the provision of information as required.
We are looking for someone immediately available.
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate reconciliations and producing a clear, complete balance sheet pack.
- Prepare annual statutory accounts and work closely with external auditors to manage queries and deliver a smooth audit process.
- Maintain and strengthen the financial control framework, identifying risks and driving improvements to keep controls robust.
- Support regulatory reporting and committee papers, presenting information in a clear and concise way for senior stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships across Finance and with auditors, acting as a trusted partner and promoting collaboration.
- Champion process and system improvements, using technology and new ideas to make reporting faster, simpler, and more insightful.
- Experience in a regulated environment with an understanding of compliance and governance requirements.
- Previous experience in managing an external audit process.
- Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience, ideally with a strong track record in finance leadership. Proven experience in external financial reporting, including preparing statutory accounts and managing audit processes.
- Excellent written communication skills, able to craft clear narratives and adapt messages for different audiences.
- Strong systems and process improvement mindset, with advanced MS Excel skills; experience with IBM TM1 is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to review work thoroughly and provide constructive feedback to others.
- Outstanding time management and organisational skills, able to handle multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
