Client Manager (Accountancy Practice) Preston | Hybrid £36,000 £ 45,000 This is a step up role in a genuinely good practice. Were working with a modern, growing digital accountancy firm in Preston that supports a great mix of digital, creative and media businesses. The team is close knit, the systems are cloud based, and the culture is adult and supportive.

This role suits someone who enjoys being the trusted adviser to clients, not just producing accounts. The role As Client Manager, youll take ownership of a portfolio of small and growing businesses and be responsible for the quality of service delivered to them. Youll manage relationships, oversee the technical work, review accounts and tax, and help clients make better decisions using their numbers.

Youll also support and mentor junior team members. What youll be doing Managing and developing your own client portfolio Acting as the main trusted contact for clients Reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations Providing practical advice around tax, cashflow and performance Overseeing bookkeeping and ensuring data quality in Free Agent and Xero Reviewing VAT returns, payroll and self assessment work Supporting clients with management accounts and forecasts Liaising with HMRC on more complex matters Mentoring and supporting Accounts Seniors and Assistants Improving processes, checklists and client workflows Working closely with the leadership team on client service standards What theyre looking for Strong experience in accountancy practice AAT qualified, ACCA part qualified or qualified by experience Confident reviewing accounts and tax work Comfortable managing client relationships independently Good working knowledge of corporation tax, VAT and cloud software Strong communication skills and a calm, commercial approach Someone who enjoys responsibility and helping others develop Whats on offer £36,000 £ 45,000 depending on experience 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Christmas closure Company pension Hybrid working 3 days in the office 2 from home Real scope to influence how the role and portfolio develop If youre in practice and ready to step into a role where youre trusted with clients, supported by good systems, and given space to do things properly, this is well worth a conversation.
