About the RoleThis role is primarily responsible for accounting and statutory reporting for several legal entities acquired by the company, while also providing finance & accounting support to the Corporate M&A Deals Team passe M&A transactions.
Responsibilities меҳта Legal Entity Accounting (Post‑Acquisition)- Manage full‑cycle accounting for assigned legal entities, including month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities such as journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals to ensure accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with the accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP), ensuring regulatory and internal policy adherence.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of trial balances, investigate variances, and uphold strong internal controls over financial reporting.
- Oversee statutory filings and collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to meet compliance requirements.
- Act as the primary accounting contact for assigned legal entities, working closely with tax, treasury, and finance teams to support operations and integration post‑acquisition.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency across legal entities.
- Support the Corporate M&A Deals Team by conducting financial due diligence on potential acquisition targets, including review of financial statements, working capital, debt, revenue trends, key KPIs, financial processes, systems, and governance procedures.
- Provide input on risks, integration considerations, and accounting issues identified during the due diligence process.
- Partner with target entity accounting teams and external advisors to finalize opening balance sheets.
- Allocate purchase price to identifiable net assets of acquired entities.
- Track and monitor earn‑out performance metrics and advise management on progress.
- Support onboarding of acquired accounting teams and integration of processes, policies, and systems.
- CPA/CA or equivalent professional designation
- 5+ years of experience in financial accounting with exposure to entity accounting, consolidations, M&A, and international entities
- Public accounting experience is a strong asset
- Experience in financial due diligence or transaction services
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple entities and deadlines
- Strong communication skills and collaborative working style
- High attention to detail with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset
