Fin Dev Canada, Canada’s development financial institution, is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to join its Enterprise Risk Management team. This role supports the implementation of compliance programs, enterprise risk management policies, and regulatory reporting.

LocationMontreal, Quebec (headquarters), with consideration for Ottawa or Toronto under a hybrid model (home/office).
Salary- Annual salary range: $109,810 - $146,413, plus performance‑based incentive.
- Support implementation of Fin Dev Canada’s Compliance Program, including legal and regulatory requirements related to financial crime, privacy, conflicts of interest, insider trading, and other risks.
- Design, implement, and test controls; conduct risk assessments and assist in identifying effective compliance/enterprise risk controls.
- Draft, review, implement, and monitor enterprise risk management policy instruments.
- Identify compliance issues, collaborate with stakeholders to ensure risk mitigation aligns with strategic priorities and risk appetite.
- Develop and deliver training to employees and management on compliance and risk matters.
- Produce compliance reports for senior management, the Risk Management Committee, and the Board of Directors.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry trends to advise stakeholders on emerging risks.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, law, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in compliance, enterprise risk management, or related functions within the financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaborative skills across geographies.
- Proficiency in enterprise risk management and risk assessment tools.
- Fluency in both official languages (English & French).
- Professional certifications such as CCRCM, CAMS, or equivalent.
- International experience relevant to Fin Dev Canada’s focus areas (Latin America, the Caribbean, Indo‑Pacific, Sub‑Saharan Africa).
