    The Senior Compliance Officer works closely with members of the compliance and enterprise risk management teams in the Chief Risk Officer’s group. Fin Dev Canada’s compliance function ensures the effective implementation and continuous enhancement of the Compliance Risk Management Program. This program is designed to identify, assess, manage, monitor, and report compliance risks arising from Fin Dev Canada’s activities, including international branch offices, and fostering a strong culture of ethics and integrity.

    The Senior Compliance Officer plays a key role in developing, executing, and enhancing the compliance program to maintain adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards. The Senior Compliance Officer also supports the enterprise risk management team across other risk elements to draft, review, implement, and monitor enterprise risk management policies, key risk indicators, controls, and reporting.

    What You Will Be Doing

    · Support the implementation of Fin Dev Canada’s Compliance Program including applicable legal and regulatory requirements related to financial crime, privacy, conflicts of interest, insider trading, among other risks and obligations.

    · Support the design, implementation, and testing of controls or compliance, and other enterprise risks. Where appropriate, conduct risk assessments and assist in the identification of more effective compliance or enterprise risk controls.

    · Support the drafting, review, implementation, and monitoring of enterprise risk management policy instruments.

    · Identify and assess compliance issues and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure risk mitigation measures are effective and aligned with strategic priorities and risk appetite.

    · Provide guidance and develop training for employees and management on compliance and risk-related matters.
