Head of Validation Remote

We have partnered with a well-established insurer to find a Head of Validation for their actuarial and financial risk function. This senior role owns the model validation framework, providing independent challenge and robust governance across capital modelling and regulatory compliance, with regular exposure to senior management and the Board.

Key responsibilities:

Own the model validation scope and annual plan, including oversight of external reviews. Act as the subject matter expert on Solvency UK / Solvency II validation requirements. Deliver and maintain validation, model risk, and regulatory compliance frameworks. Present clear validation findings to senior committees and Boards. Partner with actuarial, risk, and capital teams on internal model methodology and change. This is a rare opportunity to lead a critical second-line function and influence strategic capital decisions.
