Location: Flintshire

Interim Qualified Accountant A leading manufacturing organisation based in Maidstone is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to provide financial and accounting support – including assisting with the audit prep. This role is a temporary cover for sickness and requires a proactive individual who can align with the existing finance team while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness. Due to the nature of the role, the length of assignment is undetermined at this stage, but they envisage needing support for a couple of months.

They are looking to hold interviews now. Essential skills and experience needed: ACCA or CIMA Qualified Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong time management and prioritisation abilities Capable of working independently in a multitasking environment Proficient in spreadsheet tools and computerised accounting systems What you will be doing:
Prepare monthly journal entries, including:

-Capitalizing and amortising inventory variance, Inventory reserve adjustments, Reclassification entries Generate and distribute cost centre reports to departmental managers Analyse actual vs. budget variances Perform financial analysis across Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts Assist in quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting processes Support external audit preparation and maintain compliance controls (if long-term) Conduct variance analysis and ad hoc financial reporting Ensure accurate and timely daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing Hours of work: 35 Hours per week The Finance Team generally start work at 8am and are based on site 5 days a week.

Sometimes they choose to work from home in the afternoons, so there is flexibility. This is a great team and offices!
