How You’ll Contribute:
As an Actuarial Associate, Product you will support actuarial modeling, valuation, and ALM risk analysis for life and annuity products. You will work closely with actuaries, finance, investments, and risk partners to help ensure accurate modeling, effective controls, and meaningful insights that support risk management and financial decision-making.

What You’ll Do:

Support the conversion and enhancement of actuarial valuation and modeling systems

Develop, test, and document actuarial model updates in ALFA and related systems

Assist with asset modeling techniques and projection of asset cash flows, including structured assets

Support the integration of new products into corporate in-force models

Analyze asset/liability modeling and risk results and help interpret key drivers

Prepare monthly and quarterly valuation runs, review results, and analyze reserve movements

Assist with annual cash flow testing and monitoring of financial results

Maintain documentation, controls, and governance supporting modeling and reporting processes

Support internal and external audits and respond to information requests

Collaborate with team members and business partners to support departmental and company objectives

What You’ll Bring:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field

Experience:

1+ year of actuarial experience

Exposure to life insurance and/or fixed indexed annuity products preferred

  • Completion of 2 SOA exams required

Continued progress toward actuarial credentials encouraged and supported

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Access

Familiarity with actuarial modeling tools such as ALFA or ARCVAL

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Ability to communicate actuarial concepts and results to non-technical audiences

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively

Physical Requirements:

Primarily sedentary work involving extended computer use

Ability to communicate effectively in meetings and discussions

Occasional lifting of light materials (up to 20 lbs.)
