What you'll do
As a Lead Analyst - Financial Planning, you will play a key role in shaping the organisation's medium- and long-term financial strategy. Working closely with the Senior Financial Planning Manager, you will support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of robust financial plans that underpin the organisation's long-term financial sustainability and growth.
You'll provide high-quality financial insight, modelling, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making, helping senior leaders understand the long-term implications of financial choices in an increasingly complex operating environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional who enjoys strategic analysis, collaboration, and influencing outcomes at both operational and senior levels.
How you'll do it
• Support the development and ongoing maintenance of medium- and long-term financial plans for complex areas of the business, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Update, refine, and enhance long-term financial models to reflect changing market conditions, risks, and organisational priorities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to integrate financial planning with wider business and strategic planning processes.
• Use financial analysis, scenario modelling, and stress testing to assess long-term risks, opportunities, and mitigations.
• Provide clear, insightful financial analysis and commentary to inform senior management and strategic decision-making.
• Support risk assessments and opportunity analysis linked to long-term financial strategies.
• Work closely with the Senior Financial Planning Manager to ensure a consistent and unified approach to financial planning.
• Support the Financial Planning Analyst and deputise for the Senior Financial Planning Manager when required.
Responsibilities
• Deliver accurate, timely, and insightful long-term financial analysis and forecasts.
• Contribute to strategic planning cycles through high-quality financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Maintain strong working relationships across Finance and the wider organisation to support joined-up planning.
• Support continuous improvement in financial planning processes, tools, and capability.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, learning, and analytical excellence within the team.
