Key Responsibilities You'll play a crucial role in supporting the finance function of a fast‑moving apparel business, including:
Core Finance & Accounting Managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate reconciliations and on‑time payments. Recording all financial activity (sales, purchases, expenses) within the accounting system with precision. Posting journals, updating ledgers, and maintaining clean, compliant financial records. Ecommerce & Fashion-Focused Responsibilities Working closely with operations to track online sales, returns, refunds, and retail performance. Reconciling payment gateways such as Pay Pal, Klarna, Stripe and other ecommerce channels.

Supporting stock valuation, inventory accounting, and understanding margins specific to apparel. Financial Reporting & Analysis Assisting with monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow. Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with ecommerce‑related tax requirements. Helping with budgeting, forecasting, and analysing variances to support business decisions. Year-End & Projects Supporting the year‑end process and coordinating with auditors. Reconciling intercompany balances and resolving discrepancies.

Getting involved in improvement projects to streamline systems and processes as the business grows. Part‑qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA and actively studying Experience in fashion, apparel, clothing brands, or ecommerce/retail Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficient with accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books, Sage Excellent Excel or Google Sheets skills Great communicator who can partner with teams across the business Detail‑driven, organised, and comfortable juggling multiple deadlines Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to improving processes
