Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Reporting

Location: Brockville

Our client is seeking a Controller who oversees the company’s accounting operations, with hands-on responsibility for Accounts Payable and month-end close. This role ensures accurate financial records, timely reporting, and strong internal controls. This role is currently a 2-3 month contract with the potential to be extended.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice processing and payments

Lead month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals

Prepare and review financial statements and reports

Maintain general ledger accuracy and accounting policies

Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards

Collaborate with leadership on budgeting and financial analysis

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Proven experience with AP and month-end close

Strong knowledge and experience with Sage

Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
