ROBIN NANNEY STUDIO is seeking a Bookkeeper with Controller capabilities. Ideally, this is a hybrid of the two roles listed below.

We are seeking a detail oriented parttime bookkeeper to manage recurring financial tasks and maintain accurate records for our firm. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a flexible, remote environment and can ensure timely, reliable financial reporting.
Accounts Receivable- Record customer payments and deposits.
- Track outstanding invoices and follow up as needed.
- Maintain accurate records in Quick Books (or other accounting software).
- Process vendor bills and reimbursements. Collect and file receipts.
- Reconcile credit card and bank statements monthly.
- Enter reimbursable project expenses into Quick Books or Monograph weekly.
- Reconcile bank statements monthly.
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with onboarding documentation.
- Prepare monthly financial statements (income, expense, balance sheet).
- Provide cash flow updates and simple projections.
- Support CPA with requested reports during tax season.
- Complete all tasks accurately and on schedule.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with management.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling financial data.
- Represent the professionalism and values of the firm in all interactions
- Strong command of Quick Books; ability to manage integrations with Monograph or willingness to learn quickly.
- Skilled in accounts receivable/payable, reconciliations, payroll processing, and monthly reporting.
- Comfortable working in a fully paperless office with cloud-based systems and digital recordkeeping.
- Prior work with service-oriented small businesses; architecture or design firm experience is a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated success balancing workload across multiple clients/projects.
- Experience collaborating with CPAs and supporting quarterly/year-end filings
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines within limited hours.
- Clear, proactive communication with principals and managers.
- Integrity, accountability, and discretion in handling sensitive financial data

This role is ideal for an experienced professional who can balance hands‑on accounting with higher‑level financial planning and compliance oversight.
