Assistant Management Accountant

Looking to launch your career in finance? This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career to join AGA Rangemaster, a market-leading business with iconic British brands. We’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our small, supportive finance team.

You don’t need years of experience — what matters most is strong Excel skills, a love of numbers, and the motivation to learn. In return, we’ll give you full hands‑on training, variety in your work, and support with professional qualifications (AAT / ACCA).

Hours - 8am-5pm Mon to Thursday & 8am-1pm Friday Base - Long Eaton, Nottingham (also requirement to work at the Leamington Spa site) Salary - £28000

This is a varied role where you’ll gain exposure across stock control, management accounting, and business analysis. Typical responsibilities include:

• Supporting inventory control: helping business units run stock counts and analyse variances
• Assisting with rebate programme management
• Month‑end support: prepayments, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis across multiple cost centres
• Getting involved in projects such as building reports in Power BI and improving business processes
• Supporting both internal and external audits

As you grow, you’ll play a part in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support decision‑making across the business.

• Early in your career — maybe a recent graduate, AAT studier, or someone who has undertaken a placement, or internship ideally within finance / accounting
• You may also be someone already on their Finance career journey looking for a new challenge
• Strong with Excel and comfortable handling data
• Analytical, curious, and keen to understand how numbers drive business decisions
• Positive, proactive, and eager to learn
• Able to travel between Long Eaton and Leamington Spa (a full driving licence and own vehicle are essential)

Formal finance qualifications aren’t essential — but if you’re studying or want to study, we’ll support you.

• Salary £28,000
• 5% profit share bonus
• Study support towards relevant finance / accounting qualifications AAT / CIMA
• 1 to 2 days per week remote working (includes Fridays)
