IBA Accounts Technician/Credit Control Analyst

Hybrid position – home working 2 days per week with the remaining 3 days based at our office in Witham.

- Take responsibility for your own workload, including defining cases and associated issues as needed.
- Work with a high degree of autonomy on routine tasks, liaising with senior colleagues when guidance or escalation is required.
- Partner with Operations Specialists to support root‑cause analysis and develop improved processes, protocols and behaviours.
- Utilise knowledge of processing premiums and/or loss transactions, cash follow‑up, and the application and disbursement of funds due.
- Liaise effectively with Client Service Support and Guy Carpenter client‑facing colleagues to ensure a coordinated approach.
- Develop and maintain clear working papers supporting investigative work and methodologies for senior management decisions (e.g., reserve utilisation, credit write‑back policy).
- Support wider CSS activities, including quarterly reviews of potential financial exposures and delivery of key performance targets.
- Perform transactional processing, follow‑up and secure reinsurance recoveries, collateral, and accurate system entry of all assigned client activity.
- Accounts & settlement knowledge.
- Track record of successful client account management, relationship management, engagement and development.
- Ability to manage workload and meet expectations of all clients and stakeholders.
- Data management and analytical skills.
- Strong client focus and problem‑solving ability to reconcile and unravel payment queries.
- Experience of Insurance or Reinsurance accounting and settlement activities.
- Knowledge of Bureau markets.
- Exposure to working with currencies.
- Experience providing guidance by mentoring and/or training colleagues.
