Position: Financial Analyst 9-P11 - (Central Administration & Support Unit)

This position is responsible for reviewing and reconciling accounting reports for the Finance Division and serves as a financial analyst for the Finance Division. Responsibilities include budget development for grant programs, reimbursement processing, grant management of water infrastructure programs, creating and maintaining budget tracking and reconciliation documents, processing payments, and completing internal and external reporting requirements.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major with at least 24 semester (36 term) credits in accounting, finance, and economic courses.
  • Experience:

    Financial Analyst 9 — no specific type or amount required. Financial Analyst 10 — one year of professional experience providing a systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and/or evaluation of budgets, mortgages, loans, or other financial data, equivalent to a Financial Analyst
    9. Financial Analyst P11 — two years of professional experience providing a systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and/or evaluation of budgets, mortgages, loans, or other financial data, equivalent to a Financial Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Financial Analyst 10.
Location and Schedule

The work location for this position is the Deborah

A. Stabenow Building in Lansing. The selected candidate may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule (combination of remote and in-person) or a fully remote work schedule (with occasional travel to the official work location). Remote schedules must be completed within Michigan. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed. When working remotely, employees must use a designated workspace that is safe, professionally appropriate, allows for privacy, minimizes distractions, and includes secure internet access.
