POSITION SUMMARY
:
The Accounting Manager position is responsible for analyzing and providing financial data for the corporate entity to internal parties. Ensuring that the corporate entity is following policies and procedures in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
:
- Review financial statements with high degree of accuracy and efficiency
- Review month-end close process: reclasses, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, A/R management, variance notes, and supplemental schedules for all profit centers
- Present financial statements to Director of Finance and CCIG’s senior leadership team
- Review annual operating expense budget for all corporate departments
- Oversee treasury management of all banking relationships
- Assist with audit and tax requests
- Review payroll for 120+ employees and assist with reporting to internal parties
- Completes all other projects or requests as assigned by Director of Finance
KEY SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES
:
- Manages the accounting team responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash flow reporting, balance sheets, and reconciliations
- Attract and retain the highest quality employees through selective hiring practices, goal setting, promotion from within, developing career paths, recommending performance improvement plans, disciplinary action, and terminations, with guidance and support from Human Resources throughout each step
- Conduct quarterly conversations with team members. Which consist of subjective and objective criteria, improvement goals and training/education of both soft and technical skills
- Coordinate schedules including management of the work from home program, use of flex time, and monitoring responsible time off (always ensuring adequate staffing)
- Host team meetings and promote employee experience through regular and scheduled individual conversations with members of the team
- Attend and participate in department meetings as well as other meetings as directed
- Train and on-board new Accountants
QUALIFICATIONS
:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field is required
- 3-5 years of accounting experience (insurance experience is a plus)
- 1-3 years of experience with managing a team in a professional setting
- Proactive participation in continuing education classes
COMPENSATION INFORMATION
:
- Pay Range: $95,000 - $135,000 (dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
- Total Compensation = Pay + Performance Bonus + Benefits
- Bonus Potential: 10% of annual salary

:
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, tablets, phones, and multi-function printers
