Salary: 160, annual + 15-20% bonus + 5 weeks vacation + health benefits from Day 1
Location: Downtown Montreal, Quebec - Hybrid 3 days in office, 2 days work from home after probation period

Our client is an international banking and financial institution with divisions located in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. They are establishing their first Canadian office and are expecting exponential growth. Our client’s team in Montreal is growing rapidly. The Finance Department is in place, but is looking for a Finance Manager – Accounting & Management Control to structure internal processes, create strong cohesion and support the rise of the Finance function for the Americas region.

This position provides the chance to galvanize your entrepreneurial side by joining the Canadian platform created a little over a year ago. This is a unique opportunity with international exposure to the head office in France and other entities globally.

• Supervise and ensure the accounting of the service company.
• Supervise and ensure the Planning and Management Control of the service Company.
• Support local tax processes (including IFC – International Financial Center).
• Supervise two Finance teams of 5 employees locally who are servicing the New York branch.
• Ensure, supervise and strengthen the financial function of the client: financial accounts, financial reports and management control.
• Structure and strengthen the financial function processes.
• Develop a culture of collaboration and performance.
• Oversee the preparation of the annual budget and the monitoring of KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and IFRS.
• Be a strategic partner of the Canada Chief Finance Officer and senior management.
• Ensure the quality and compliance of financial statements.
• Support local tax processes in collaboration with the CFO (corporate tax, VAT, international taxation).
• Manage and lead employees by fostering team spirit and cross‑functional relationships with other domains.
• Maintain and promote smooth relationships with auditors (internal and external), tax authorities, finance teams from New York and Paris, and Canadian teams (HR, Ops, IT, etc.).

• Strong background in accounting and management control.
• Successful experience in team management and organization structuring.
• Knowledge of Canadian IFRS (public company) preferred.
• Bilingual French-English (oral and written).
• Leadership, ability to unite and sense of community.
• Ideally CPA or equivalent, with +10 years of experience.
