Job Description Summary

Serve as a key member of Transamerica’s Capital Financial Planning and Analysis team, responsible for analysis and insight into capital generation results.

Job Description Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate technical expertise on capital reporting, acting as subject‑matter expert.
  • Contribute to development of management and detailed analytical reporting.
  • Use subject‑matter expertise to support large cross‑functional projects.
  • Deliver high‑level financial analysis to solve problems uniquely.
  • Create communications explaining complex matters to strategic and operational audiences.
  • Extract financial data from accounting and information systems for analysis.
  • Analyze financial data, define relevant information, interpret past performance and project future results.
  • Offer leadership and direction to others.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of business and analysis concepts.
  • Recommend process changes to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve business issues for company success.
  • Ensure adherence to internal control framework.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum eight years of experience.
  • Advanced computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of supervisory experience; solid knowledge of accounting/financial areas (e.g., investments, insurance products, premiums).
  • Strong oral and written communication; ability to manage multiple projects; customer‑service orientated; highly analytical.
  • Effective teamwork, organizational, prioritization, and judgment; address employee issues promptly.
Working Conditions
  • Hybrid (Tuesday–Thursday)
  • Fast‑paced, deadline‑driven office environment.

The salary for this position generally ranges between $94,000–$110,000 annually. The starting pay is determined by qualifications, experience, geography, location designation, and operational needs. Additional compensation may include an annual bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan and individual performance.
