EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

We’re looking for a proactive and curious Management Accountant Senior associate to become a key part of our Developer Services team. The role will report, temporarily, into the Developer Services Finance Business Partner, and in the longer term into the Developer Service Finance Analyst, and will support reporting of opex and capital spend across Developer Services.

Delivering insight and driving improvement in Developer Services reporting, budgeting and controls to enable improved performance across regulatory, performance and financial objectives.

Working with a variety stakeholder to improve understanding of spend and own the analysis of financials against budget and forecasts.

What you’ll be doing
  • Complete month end processes, including producing and completing required journals, while ensuring accurate information and identifying opportunities and efficiencies.
  • Own monthly balance sheet reconciliation process, ensuring the required level of quality.
  • Support the forecast, budget and business plan processes, helping ensure plans are complete and realistic.
  • Produce analysis of financials against budget and forecast.
  • Provide financial support to the department, balancing short term needs with the longer-term strategic priorities of the department.
  • Support the Developer Services team and project managers to help them better understand their financial data and performance.
  • Engage with wider finance colleagues to ensure transactional data is accurate, robust and timely.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation of team processes and controls.

You'll be based at our Severn Trent Centre in Coventry. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week

WHAT

WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Working towards financial qualification in ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
  • Experience in analysing financial information for variances and investigating any abnormalities that arise.
  • Demonstrate track record of diagnosing business issues and delivering performance improvements.
  • Working collaboratively across departments to deliver a successful outcome.

Study support is also available for this position.
