Underwriting Coordinator

The Loan Coordinator is responsible for managing all activities during the underwriting phase of the file. This role ensures timely, compliant, and accurate submission, conditioning and communication with Non-Delegated investors. This position is not an underwriting role and is designed to support Underwriting.
This individual will be a key liaison between internal departments (loan officers, LOAs, processors) and external investors, ensuring data accuracy, pipeline management, and timely documentation submission.
Loan Submissions- Submit accurate loan submission into the investor platform/system
- Validate data accuracy between Encompass, LOS, and interim servicing systems
- Document loan status and concerns in Encompass
- Ensure conditions are properly entered into Encompass
- Deliver accurate conditional approvals
- Properly maintain status on all conditions until file is clear to close
- Monitor and update posted turn times for the investors daily
- Maintain a current pipeline to assist branches with keeping accurate closing dates
- Respond to inquiries from branches regarding file status
- Serve as a liaison between branches (LO, LOA, Processor) and investors
- Accurately provide investor replies
- Collaborate with Delivery & Post-Closing to ensure post-closing issues are resolved
- 3+ years of mortgage related experience preferred.
- Experience with Encompass LOS preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external partners.
This position is available as a Remote position.
Pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00 per hour.
