Finance Assistant

• Location: Unit K, Springhead Enterprise Park, Northfleet, Gravesend

Prep World is seeking a Finance Assistant to join our team on a Monday to Friday schedule. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our finance operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

• Obtain invoice approval and ensure invoices are coded correctly
• Process supplier invoices and credits to the accounting system
• Generate a weekly payment run for all suppliers (including foreign currency)
• Process all supplier payments to the ledgers
• Resolve disputes and exceptions
• Perform purchase ledger reconciliations between supplier accounts and statements

• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven time management skills, accustomed to working with and meeting time critical deadlines.
• Resilient, problem solving, flexible, reliable, honest.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• More than 2 years’ experience in a similar role (essential)
• Good understanding of VAT (including reverse charges) (essential)
• Accustomed to working with and interpreting data (essential)
• IT skills – highly proficient with Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and accounting packages. (essential)
• Confidence and experience in working with Business Central (Desirable)
• Experience of the fruit or fresh produce industry (desirable) or any other FMCG industry. (Desirable)
