You'll become a key player in strengthening financial controls, supporting strategic decisions, and ensuring accuracy at a critical time for the company. What You'll Be Doing Taking ownership of balance sheet integrity-investigating and resolving issues with precision and insight Leading the preparation and delivery of year-end statutory accounts under UK GAAP/IFRS Maintaining and enhancing robust financial controls across the business Providing high-level technical financial advice to senior leaders Acting as a key liaison for auditors and ensuring smooth audit processes Managing complex reconciliations, journals, and adjustments Driving accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes Championing process improvements and strengthening internal controls Supporting and mentoring junior finance team members Rolling up your sleeves and contributing as a proactive, hands-on team member in a fast-paced environment What You'll Bring ACA qualification (or equivalent) with strong technical accounting expertise Solid experience in financial control within complex businesses A hands-on, analytical approach - not afraid to deep dive into detail The ability to thrive under pressure and manage tight deadlines Strong Excel capability and confidence with financial systems Clear, confident communication and strong interpersonal skills What's On Offer A competitive salary/day rate up to £80,000 (DOE) Hybrid working: 4 days onsite, 1 day working from home Modern, well-equipped offices with free parking A supportive, friendly, and forward-thinking team environment
