Job DescriptionFirst Command Financial Advisors coach military families in their pursuit of financial security. Our reputation has been built on shaping positive financial behaviors through face‑to‑face coaching with military families, using time‑tested principles and a client‑first philosophy. We inspire and motivate clients to take the first or next step on the path to financial security.
- 9 out of 10 of our Financial Advisors are veterans or military spouses.
- With 165+ offices nationwide, many are located near military installations.
- Personal coaches to the Nation’s military families, focusing on a constantly evolving financial plan that meets short‑term and long‑term goals.
- Help military families manage day‑to‑day finances, build lifetime assets, and protect against the unexpected.
- Engage with the community to bring new clients to First Command, with support from the local district team and Home Office.
- Partner with local military organizations, military units, and other supporting institutions.
- Coach military families on building a comprehensive financial plan that includes:
- Savings/banking
- Investments/wealth management
- Insurance/risk management
- A specialized licensing and comprehensive training program designed for veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses.
- We sponsor the pursuit of full registration and licensing as a Financial Advisor, using our tools and resources.
- Preparation and testing for SIE, S6, S63, S65 and state Life & Health licenses.
- Upon successful completion of the licensing phase, an opportunity to join a paid local district office training program.
- Initial hourly wage for the first 3 months (minimum wage in the state), with transition to a salaried position offering progressive incentives during the nine‑month paid training period.
- Opportunity to become an independent contractor Financial Advisor with First Command, controlling career trajectory and compensation based on results.
- No cap on earning potential: compensation reflects effort and is based on competitive commissions, residual income, bonuses, and deferred compensation.
